With three decks offering a wide variety of fitness possibilities, you won’t have any difficulty getting active and staying in shape on the Mariner of the Seas. The gym is quite spacious with just about every kind of fitness equipment you can imagine. There is a personal trainer on hand to offer advice or to help you using any of the equipment. Classes are available in Pilates, Yoga, aerobics, kickboxing, circuit training, resistance training, spinning and stretching, but you may have to pay a nominal fee for some of these classes.
You have all the time in the world to work out when you are on a cruise so why not hire your own personal trainer. This expert will do a body assessment and a test of your metabolic rate to develop a routine for your needs and level of fitness. Then you have a goal to work towards so that you return home lean and fit, as well as well-tanned. Ice skating really gives your leg muscles a work out. You can take advantage of this kind of exercise in Studio B – the ice skating rink on the ship. During the days at sea there are regularly scheduled times when the passengers can use this rink without charge and use the ice skates free as well. Rollerskating on a cruise ship! Yes, you can do that too on the inline skating track on the Mariner of the Seas and you don’t have to pay the rent the skates either. With the rock climbing wall you can get the ultimate workout. There is no need to avoid this activity because you have never done it before. You can take lessons and there are routes for beginners among the eleven possible routes. Get your early morning workout in the fresh air on the jogging track or by swimming some laps of the pool. You don’t have to worry if the outside pool is closed due to inclement weather because the Solarium pool has a retractable roof that closes when the weather is not suitable. In the Sports Court you can really work up a sweat with a game of basketball or volleyball. Test your putting skills on the miniature golf course that is a lot more challenging than it looks. After your workout you can relax your muscles in the whirlpools located throughout the ship or enjoy a relaxing treatment in the spa. Here you can enjoy a variety of massages, body wraps, mud baths and more. |
