Taking a cruise on the Rhapsody of the Seas is about more than lounging around the pool deck. The ShipShape Spa and Fitness Center has everything you need to stay in shape and return home completely rejuvenated. During your days at sea, you can work out at your leisure in the fully equipped gym where you will find the latest in fitness equipment, such as treadmills, stair steppers, free weights, weight machines and stationary bikes.
You can hire a personal trainer to help you with your fitness needs for the duration of the cruise and the cost is very reasonable, ranging from $60 to $75 per hour. There is a wide variety of fitness classes offered, such as circuit and resistance training, kickboxing, aerobics, spinning, Pilates and Yoga, some of which are complimentary and others carry a $10 fee per class. The rock climbing wall on the Rhapsody of the Seas has eleven routes to choose from. Some of these are designed just for beginners, while others are more challenging. All of them will give you the ultimate work out at sea. ![]() If you like exercising outdoors, put on your trainers and head to the Jogging Track. This padded track will help you feel the fresh air in your face as you take in the glorious scenery out to sea. If you prefer to stay indoors, you also have the option of working out by means of Nintendo Wii Fit and there are tournaments in which you can take place in this type of exercise on a cruise. The Solarium Pool is for adults only and is the perfect place to swim some laps in the morning. This is an all-weather pool with a dome glass roof that is closed in inclement weather so you can take your laps every day. The spa has individual treatment rooms where you can have a variety of massages and exotic treatments, such as aroma stone therapy or a body wrap. There are sauna and steam rooms available free of charge to all passengers and are the perfect way to detoxify your body and refresh your skin. You can do as much walking as you wish on the Rhapsody of the Seas and if this is not enough, take the stairs instead of the elevator. |
