If all the walking and dancing you can do on the Jewel of the Seas is not enough fitness for you on your cruise, the Fitness Center in the ShipShape Spa will more than satisfy your needs. The state of the art equipment includes stair steppers, treadmills, stationary bikes, weight machines and free weights. There are personal trainers on every cruise offering classes in aerobics, kickboxing, Pilates, Yoga, spinning, resistance training and circuit training. Some of these classes do involve paying an extra fee, but it is relatively inexpensive.

If you wish to start a workout regimen on the ship, you also have the option of hiring your own trainer to design a program based on your individual needs and level of fitness. You can also take advantage of the Nintendo Wii Fit to make sure you get the daily work out that you need.

The Jogging Track on Deck 12 not only provides you with the opportunity to walk or jog at your own pace but the glorious views out to see will entrance you. You won’t even realize that you have walked a lot farther than you intended.

The Rock Climbing Wall is the ultimate workout at sea with paths for all levels of expertise in its eleven different routes. If you are a beginner, you can take lessons and choose less arduous routes. The Sports Deck also has a basketball and volleyball court. The Jewel of the Seas doesn’t forget the needs of golfers either with a putting green on the ship and golf simulators that let you test your driving skills on challenging courses from all parts of the world.

Relax and be pampered on your cruise by taking advantage of the spa. You have all the time in the world so why not have a massage or an exotic treatment that you just can’t find the time for in your daily life? What about a mud bath or a seaweed wrap? There is also a beauty salon in this area where you can have your hair styled to perfection and let you get ready for the evening’s entertainment.
