The atrium area of the Monarch of the Seas is known as Centrum and this is truly the hub of the ship. Shop in the boutiques where you can enjoy duty-free shopping 24 hours a day. Some of the stores in this venue include a Photo Gallery and Shop, a perfume shop, a clothing store and a jewellery store. Glass elevators rising from this central location give you a great view of the interior of the ship.

Deck 4 is a very busy location because it is the setting for the Purser’s Office, the Guest Relations Desk and the Shore Excursion Desk. Here you can accomplish many different tasks, such as exchanging money, buying stamps, getting answers to any of your questions and booking excursions in the various ports of call.

The day spa offers a wide variety of treatments. You can have a standard massage or indulge in an exotic treatment such as an algae detox or a dry float.

The programs for children on board the Monarch of the Seas are quite extensive giving parents a chance to enjoy themselves on their own. There are activities offered for children in the playroom and the teenagers on a cruise have a separate facility in the Fuel Teen Disco. This is the setting for various games and contests for teens during the days at sea.

There are two outdoor pools, one of which is for the children. Both have spacious deck areas where there are plenty of lounge chairs. You can soak up the rays of the sun or relax in one of the two whirlpools in this area and soak the aches and pains out of your muscles leaving you ready for the night’s entertainment.

Business cruisers delight in the conference and meeting facilities available on the Monarch of the Seas. There are three such rooms in varying sizes that can also be used for private functions on the ship, such as wedding receptions.
