Children of all ages are accommodated in the expansive programs on the Jewel of the Seas. There are four age groups:

• Aquanauts – ages 3 to 5
• Explorers – ages 6 to 8
• Voyagers – ages 9 to 12
• Navigators – ages 13 to 17

Each group has its own area of the ship where the children and teens are supervised by the counsellors at all times. The teenagers can hang out in the Fuel Teen Disco and there are all kinds of games and activities at Adventure Ocean. There is even a special pool for children at Adventure Beach where there is a waterslide for their use.

Natural sunlight pours into the 9-deck high Atrium all day long and with the glass elevators you have a view of the area as you ascend or descend the ship. There is a Guest Relations Desk on deck 4 where you can exchange money, buy stamps or book a shore excursion.

Enjoy people watching from the Lobby Bar or the coffee shop and the stores of the Boutique never close for those who have a yen for shopping. The Art Gallery has exceptional pieces of art lining the walls that you can purchase for the posted price or you can attend one of the art auctions on the ship where you just might get what you want at a bargain.




The Solarium Pool has a retractable roof so that you can swim no matter what the weather is like outside. There is also a main pool with a spacious deck for the many lounge chairs it can accommodate. There are also adjacent whirlpools where you can soak away your cares, aches and pains.

The Library has a fine selection of all genres of literature. You can check out some of these to take back to your cabin or to your chair by the side of the pool or better still curl up in one of the comfy chairs and enjoy the views as you sail along. The Ocean Arcade has all the video games you would need for entertainment and where you can be a kid again.
