The stadium style seating of the 42nd Street Theater on the Splendour of the Seas assure every member of the audience a great view of the stage. Here you can enjoy a show reminiscent of Broadway or Vegas after your dinner in the main dining room. The technology on the ship is such that lighting and sound effects enhance the action on the stage to make it a memorable experience. This venue is the setting for extravagant shows, fashion shows, performances by guest celebrities, comedy acts. During the day you can take part in a game show or a talent show.

The enrichment activities planned for every cruise consist of Bingo, of course, but there are many other activities in which you can participate during the afternoons. These include various contests and challenges, wine tasting and food pairing lessons, dance lessons, ice carving lessons and rock climbing lessons to name but a few.




The Casino Royale features 164 slot machines and 10 gaming tables. Tournaments take place in this venue and the times are posted in the daily cruise compass. If you would like instruction in the poker games in an effort to improve your chances of winning, there are free lessons offered during the days at sea.

If you are looking for a quiet place to have a drink during the day, the Solarium Bar is the essence of peace and quiet. There are bars by the side of the main pool so that you only have to take a few steps from your lounge chair to get your favourite beverage. Take in a cabaret act in the Top Hat Lounge or enjoy the fantastic views from the Viking Crown Lounge from its location on the top of the ship. The Top Hat Lounge is also the ship’s nightclub where you can dance into the wee hours of the morning.

Sing along with the piano tunes in the Schooner Bar where the pianist does take requests from the guests. There is always a party or an event taking place providing entertainment, fun and games for the passengers. How about a Masquerade Ball? This is a possibility on the Splendour of the Seas as is a toga party or a pirate themed night.

Teenagers have their own disco on the ship and passengers of any age can be entertained in the Video Arcade.
