With all the entertainment venues on the Monarch of the Seas you won’t worry too much about the small size of your stateroom because you probably won’t spend much time there anyway. The main venue for large scale productions on this ship is the Sound of Music Lounge. There are different levels of seating and angles from which you have a great view of the stage. Here you can take in song and dance routines, and performances by acrobats, magicians, singers and soloists.

The best dance floor on the ship is located in Bolero’s, where you can take in Latin music. There is a great bar in this venue and the seating is quite comfortable. Whether you are taking in the music during the evening hours or enjoying a drink during the day, the views through the large windows will certainly hold your attention.

Take in the 360° degree views from the Viking Crown Lounge from its location on the top of the ship. The Schooner Bar, with its nautical theme, is a great place to have a relaxing drink and chat with friends or sing along with the tunes played by the pianist. There is also a large screen TV in this venue where sports fans can keep up to date with sporting news or watch the big game.

If you really want to party to the sounds of your favourite music head to The Circuit. This is the disco on the Monarch of the Seas where a live band takes the stage from 9:30 p.m. to midnight and then a DJ takes over until the wee hours of the morning.

You can’t take a cruise on this ship without spending some time in the Casino Royale. There are 212 slot machines and 12 gaming tables. Lessons in the various card games take place during the day and there are tournaments held in this venue throughout the cruise.
