Dining is truly a dream on the Navigator of the Seas in the five dining venues the ship offers. The main dining room is actually three distinct restaurants, which are connected by grand staircases and are on three different levels of the ship. Each has its own kitchen, even though the menus are the same in all three. You also have a choice in dining in the traditional cruising style with an assigned table or dining at your leisure by just showing up between 6 and 9:30 p.m. or by making reservations for a time of your choosing.
These main restaurants are the Swan Lake, Copelia and Nutcracker dining rooms. You can feast on a five course-meal in either one of them from the regular menu or by choosing dishes from the spa or vegetarian menu. Parents don`t have to worry that children won`t like the food because there is a menu just for them containing all their favourites. The Chops Grille and the Portofino are the two alternative restaurants on the ship. You do have to make reservations if you wish to dine in either of these venues and there is an additional charge involved. Since they are smaller it is best to make your reservations early in your cruise. The Chops Grille specializes in meat and seafood dishes, while the Portofino specializes in Italian cuisine. If you are in the mood for burgers and fries and an old-fashioned milkshake, find a booth in Johnny Rockets where the decor is straight out of the 1950`s. The menu is all-American and the songs on the jukebox are sock hop tunes of the 50`s and 60`s. ![]() The spectacular view from the Windjammer Cafe is sure to please in this buffet style dining venue on the Navigator of the Seas. It is open almost all day and all night serving a wide variety of cuisines from all over the world. There are many different food stations where you can make your selection of food items and because they are spread out there are hardly any long wait times. When you have an urge for Asian cuisine, the Jade Restaurant will certainly please your palette. The Sidewalk Cafe along the Royal Promenade is the place to be for people watching as well as coffee, pizza and pastries. Ben and Jerry`s Ice Cream Shop has such a large array of flavours you will want to try them all. Sorrento`s is the pizzeria of the Navigator of the Seas with slices of pizza for sale, but if you wish you can have one made just for you with your favourite toppings. Room service is available round the clock serving full meals, snacks and cold entrees. This will more than fill your needs when you want to dine in your room at any time of the day or night. |
