There are three main dining rooms on the Freedom of the Seas although they appear to be in the same room. There are three different levels of the restaurant making up the three restaurants known as the Leonardo, Isaac and Galileo. Each of these has its own kitchen and all are interconnected by means of elegant staircases. There are also privacy partitions that give you the privacy you need once you are seated at your table in each venue.

The Windjammer Cafe is always open for buffet style casual dining. The food stations set up around the room eliminate long lines and there are international selections available for all three meals of the day. Afternoon tea and midnight snacks are also available in this venue. Although the dress code is casual, you are not permitted inside for dinner without footwear or when wearing a tank top.

The Jade Restaurant is right next door if you want to enjoy Asian cuisine and sushi. Here the chefs create mouth-watering Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian, Indian and Indonesian cuisine. Seating time for dinner is from 6 to 9 p.m.

There are two specialty restaurants on the Freedom of the Seas where you do have to make reservations and pay a fee for each person dining in these venues. The Portofino is the Italian restaurant on the ship while the Chops Grille offers specialty meat dishes and steaks cooked just the way you like them.

Johnny Rockets offers you the chance to step back in time to experience a diner right out of the 1950’s. Listen to the tunes of the sock hops on the jukeboxes and enjoy burgers, fries or a milkshake at the red booths with formica tabletops.

In the Cafe Promenade you can have a specialty tea or coffee with a sandwich at Latte-tudes as you take in the view of the hub of the ship. Have an ice cream at Ben and Jerry’s, a slice of pizza at Sorrento’s or pub fare in the Bull and Bear, a traditional English pub.

Room service is available 24 hours a day serving meals in your room whenever you wish.
