The two story restaurant on the Splendour of the Seas is named for the famous movie, The King and I. It doesn’t feature Asian cuisine, but you will feast on a five course meal when you choose from the many choices on the menu. The two levels of this venue are connected by a grand staircase. At night the ceiling looks just like that of a temple in Thailand. You can order as much as you want and you can linger as long as you want over your meal.

You do have the option of choosing the traditional style of dining in the King and I dining room with an assigned table and one of the two sittings for dinner. You also have the option of a more flexible time for dining depending on what you are doing each day. In the My Time dining option you can choose your own time for dinner and make reservations for this time or just show up for dinner at any time between 6 and 9:30 p.m.

There is no alternative formal dining venue on the Splendour of the Seas. If you prefer to dine in another venue, then the Windjammer Cafe is there for you with its buffet style dining and casual atmosphere. Although it is casual, you cannot enter this restaurant in your bare feet from the pool deck or in your swim suit.

The food stations set up around the room contain a wide variety of dishes for every meal of the day. This venue is open almost all the time, closing only for an hour or so in between meals to set up the dishes. In the afternoon, you can enjoy afternoon tea and when you are hopping between the bars and lounges, you can drop in for a midnight snack.

The Solarium Cafe is open from 11:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. and again from 9 p.m. until midnight. This venue serves hot dogs, burgers, fries and other fast food items. The freshly baked cookies are absolutely delicious in this venue.

Room service is available 24 hours a day and all meals are included in the fare you pay for your cruise.
