The cabins are very spacious on the Serenade of the Seas as are the private balconies. Since the majority of the cabins are on the exterior of the ship, you won’t have any problem booking accommodations with a balcony or a large picture window giving you a view of the ocean. Families will find accommodations to suit large groups in all categories in the form of interconnecting staterooms with two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

No matter what category of stateroom you have on the Serenade of the Seas, you will enjoy comfortable mattresses and top of the line bedding. Each room also contains closed circuit interactive TV, mini-bar and safe, telephone, radio, hair dryer and vanity area as well as a private bathroom. In the higher priced suites, the bathrooms contain a whirlpool tub in addition to the standard shower. The bathrooms in regular staterooms have a shower only.

The suites are the most luxurious accommodations on the ship and come in a variety of sizes and designs. They also have their own perks, such as Concierge Service, access to the Concierge Club and preferential treatment in booking the spa or shore excursions. The Royal Suite measures a spacious 1001 square feet and has a balcony measuring 215 square feet. There is a dining table and grand piano in the living room and a king-sized bed in the master bedroom. Other suites you can choose from include:

• Owner’s suite measuring 512 square feet with a 57 square foot balcony. There is a queen size bed in the master bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room.
• Family Suites range from 533 to 586 square feet and can accommodate up to eight guests. There are two bedrooms and a sleeper sofa in the living room. The balconies on these suites range from 139 to 193 square feet.
• Grand Suites measure between 358 and 384 square feet and the balconies measure 106 square feet. These accommodations do not have a separate bedroom, but there is a sitting room area with a sleeper sofa.
• Junior Suites measure 293 square feet and the balcony is 66 square feet. Some of these suites have a regular sofa in the living room meaning that they can accommodate only two guests.

When you want an oceanview stateroom with a balcony you have a choice of a superior or a deluxe cabin. The Superior measures 204 square feet with a 66 square foot balcony and the Deluxe measures 179 square feet with a 41 square foot balcony.

Family staterooms measure 319 square feet and standard outside staterooms range from 170 to 211 square feet. Interior staterooms measure 166 square feet making them some of the largest of any cruise ships.

Passengers on the Serenade of the Seas with disabilities can book handicapped accommodations in all categories. These staterooms and suites are designed to accommodate wheelchairs and have no-step showers.
