The cabins on the Jewel of the Seas are more spacious than on any other ship of the Royal Caribbean fleet. There are a variety of accommodations for families in interconnecting staterooms and the outside cabins in this category have larger than usual balconies. Wheelchair accessible facilities in all categories –have extra-wide doors and bathrooms that do not have any steps in the showers. The closet and storage space in all accommodations is quite spacious for your needs.

All accommodations on the ship contain closed circuit, interactive TV’s with remote control, radio and telephone, hair dryer, an in-room safe for your valuables and travel documents, a refrigerator for your needs and a min-bar from which you can purchase confectionary items and drinks. There is also dial up Internet access available from all cabins, for which you pay a flat rate.

Extra amenities come with booking a suite on the Jewel of the Seas. Not only do you get larger accommodations with separate bedrooms and bathrooms that have whirlpool tubs in addition to the shower, but you also have the use of the privileges of the Concierge Club. You also have priority in making reservations for the use of the rock climbing wall and the spa and for booking shore excursions.

The Royal Suite is the largest on the ship, measuring over 1000 square feet of space inside and has a balcony measuring 215 square feet. Other categories of suites include:

• Owner’s suite – 512 square feet with 57 square foot balcony
• Grand Suite – ranging from 358 to 384 square feet with a 106 square foot balcony
• Junior Suite – 293 square feet with a 66 square foot balcony
• Family Suite – ranging from 533 to 586 square feet with a balcony that ranges in size from 139 to 193 square feet.

In all the accommodations on the ship, even in the suites, you have the option of leaving the two twin beds separate or having them converted to a queen size bed. The suites are designed to be able to sleep at least four guests and eight in the family suite. All staterooms and suites contain a sofa in either the living room or sitting room area and in most these pull out to a bed so that the cabin can sleep more than two guests.

If you want a view of the ocean as you sail along you can choose a stateroom that has a balcony opening from the room through floor to ceiling windows. You can also choose a stateroom that has a large picture window or one that has a porthole window. These range in size from 166 square feet to 204 square feet and the bathrooms, while spacious, have only a shower. Interior cabins measure 166 square feet and while the standard is for two guests, many can sleep three or four.
