We booked on the Canaries trip 2/2/12, we arrived to book in at our alloted time 1pm but the queues were horrendous, a woman made a comment to RCL staff about the delay in boarding and was told in a snappy manner that there was 3500 guests to be boarded. Having been on the Independence of the Seas before, we knew what to expect. Everything went smooth but I think we may have been lucky, some passengers had to queue for quite a while. Just got back from an 11 night new years cruise around the canaries,first time cruising with RCL,had such a fab time,although it was a bit choppy (gale force 9) crossing the Biscay there was so much to occupy you that it would be almost impossible to notice (unless you are one of those people who just like to complain ) we meet some great people and had an absolute ball every day and night-so look....

Sailed on December 5 2011 in the Royal suite for a short quiet get away. November 29th was the start of our second 18 night cruise this year on IOTS. Although very large and glitzy one cannot fault the ship, the staff, ALL who are really lovely people, the food which is also excellent and beautifully served. Sometimes the food could have been hotter but given the size of the ship and the logistics of moving food about it is superb. There were some people who complained....

I just love the sheer size if Liberty, having been on Navigator, you could see how the extra width and length had been used to build the freedom class. Roll on Oasis or Allure of the Seas. I adore cruising and Liberty did not disappoint....

Our choice for cruising with Royal Caribbean derived from the experience of a cruise enjoyed some years ago to the Bahamas; hence we chose Royal Caribbean once again. In addition the advertisements helped to select the cruise date, location and stateroom. We have learned that we can join the Crown and Anchor society and look forward to further travel with Royal Caribbean.....

We departed on September the 4th from Barcelona. We soon discovered bed bugs in our cabin and notified the Guest Relations to check our cbin. I was bitten all over my back and legs. They sent someone to check the cabin and they found lots more bed bugs and we were given a junior suite. Whilst this cabin was better my partner was incredibly upset by the whole thing and wanted to get off the ship. F....

This was our 1st cruise what and experience. Could not fault the ship facilities and attention to detail. The staff were always very very helpful and pleasant. It was more like a 10 star floating hotel. No more package holidays for us, Already started looking for next year....

What a let down this cruise is! Where do i start? Kids running riot at all hours, running about almost knocking over elderly people, pressing all buttons in lifts, in games room throwing cards ect all around the room, could go on but could be here all night. Queing to go into dinner most nights. Very poor entertainment during the evening, if there is any possibility of getting a seat (unlikely).....

As we are new to cruising, this being our first sea cruise we did not know what to expect, however we were very pleased. We only had an indoor cabin which was a an error as we did not realise how dark it would be, but it was clean if a bit 'tired'. The ship is due for a refit so we expected this. The staff were very freindly and helpful and our cabin kept clean. lots of clean fresh towels.

We thought a cruise would be too expensive for a family of 4, but third and fourth occupancy added together and then divided by four worked out as a bargain. Ok - so we had bad weather too - we had hurricane force winds on the way across the Bay of Biscay which meant that we missed going to Madiera (a real nuisance but you can do nothing about the weather) - but.... and it's a big one - the staff were just wonderful, Earl looked after our stateroom so well and the towel animals were a joy to look forward to each evening.

YES I WOULD RECOMMEND ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISES, BUT WE FELT THIS SHIP IS IN NEED OF UPDATING. LAST YEAR WE WENT ON NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS, EVEN THOUGH THIS SHIP IS SLIGHTLY YOUNGER THAN ADVENTURE, NAVIGATOR WAS BETTER. OUR CABIN, A BALCONY CABIN ON DECK 9, WAS TIRED LOOKING. I went on the Splendour for my birthday, a gift from my girlfriend. It was splendid. Everynight the entertainment was excellent and both of us drank and danced wildly everynight.
I also loved going ashore - its like taking lots of little holidays but travelling between them is bliss instead of stressfull. My girlfriend absolutely loved the tropical places we went - the islands and their wild....

I liked many aspects of this cruise, the food & drink were superb. It was reasonably priced and of great quality. There was lots of great options available almost all of the time. The food was second only to the entertainment on this ship.

I thought that this cruise was just fabulous, I was able to spend tons of time with my family doing tons of fun and exciting things. It also gave me & my wife some alone time as I could drop the children off at the creche and we could spent time alone or have decent conversations with like-minded adults .
